Well-Being & Stress

Well-being is more than the absence of symptoms — research distinguishes between the emotional component (how do I feel right now?) and the cognitive-evaluative component (how do I judge my life overall?). Both are covered here with established instruments: the WHO-5 for current psychological well-being, and the SWLS for global life satisfaction.

Two resource-oriented perspectives round this out: the Self-Compassion Scale, which captures how compassionately you treat yourself in difficult moments, and the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory, which measures exhaustion separately across personal, work-related, and client-related sources — developed as a freely available alternative to commercial burnout questionnaires.
